Quotes of the Day

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

~ Samuel Adams

"How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual... as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of."

~ Suzanna Gratia-Hupp

How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

~ Ronald Reagan

The Sons of Liberty

The Sons of Liberty was a secret organization of American Patriots which originated in the Thirteen Colonies during the American Revolution. British authorities and their supporters known as Loyalists considered the Sons of Liberty as seditious rebels, referring to them as "Sons of Violence" and "Sons of Iniquity." Patriots attacked the apparatus and symbols of British authority and power such as property of the gentry, Customs officers, East India Company tea, and as the war approached, vocal supporters of the Crown.

It would seem to me that we as a nation have reached a crossroads, a tipping point of sorts. Where one political faction has begun to impose its own world view upon the rest of the nation without regard for the vision of the founding fathers, with tangible contempt for the constitution and the liberties and protections it provides.

Its clear that it is us "we the people" who are to blame for their rise in power, we have allowed multiculturalism, and political correctness to run rampant and tolerated illegal immigration and have turned a blind eye to political and fiscal irresponsibility while the hollywood liberal elite push their agenda and poison the minds of the young. We have seen the election of the Nations first Black President and for that I am truly proud of my country, I never thought I would see the day, I would be elated if the man were qualified for the position, if he had not sat in a racist church for 20 years and if he had not associated with unrepentant domestic terrorists. If he in fact would have been challenged by the media and been forced to answer the questions we all have about him and his policies like any other candidate. Sadly that never happened and we are we are. So what does a Patriot do when the Government he thought was "For the people by the people" has morphed into something neither the founding fathers or our grandparents would recognize, its a question I shall seek to answer in the coming days and months...
